Music Lessons
I have extensive experience working with students one-on-one in piano and voice lessons. As a piano player who trained at the Royal Conservatory of Music and as a working musician, composer, and musical director, I have found a great deal of joy and fulfillment from teaching music privately to students ranging anywhere from age four to ninety-four. Supported by my diverse musical background, I believe in tailoring each student’s lesson plan to their own personal needs and goals. This can include learning within a more structured, classical system; becoming more comfortable with playing by ear and learning to play or sing pop songs, film music, etcetera; developing confidence and performance skills, especially in younger children, by teaching singing in conjunction with dramatic performance; or any combination of the above! I believe in letting my students lead with their own interests, passions, and aspirations, in order to instill a lifelong love and appreciation of music and musical performance.
I am happy to offer online lessons to students across the world, and in-person lessons to students in Toronto’s West End.
