We watched “Her Charm”, where Sam leaps into an FBI agent protecting a woman from a vengeful drug lord. Of course he fallsies in lovesies (againsies). Leete and Kristen are especially silly. Please like us.
Sam leaps into a parapsychologist, and he’s got to solve a mystery involving a seemingly restless ghost. We talk all things supernatural. Leete gets skeptical. Kristen gets defensive. We rank the sexiness of different Frankenstein’s monsters. It’s a spooky party over here.
CW: Discussion of Gaslighting, Murder and Suicide.
Heads up - this episode features two theatre people talking about the theatre episode of Quantum Leap. Sam leaps into an understudy for the lead role in a production of Man of La Mancha. There is a lot of singing in this episode. Of Quantum Leap, and the podcast. Look out.
Sam leaps into 1953, and trades place with a sailor named Charlie, who comes home from Japan with his new wife, Machiko. They face prejudice within the town and his own family. This was another tough one to watch. But, among all the terrible drama, why was there still time for a barnyard sex romp? What is going on??
Content Warning: Discussion of racism and racist acts/behaviour.
Sam leaps into a stuntman who has a tortured, musical brother. The tortured, musical brother has an angry, bitter father. They all work on a movie set where no one has any idea how to shoot a movie. And Kristen and Leete have little patience for it.
This episode features Sam leaping into a detective in 1953, who for some reason looks like Humphrey Bogart. He also falls desperately in love with a lady from the past, and has a nerdy sidekick. But, most importantly: who is the Dropper named Clapper?!
Sam leaps into 1961, and into the body of a young man who has to stop his sister from marrying a really terrible guy. This episode includes drag racing, Jason Priestley, and an ending that leaves Kristen and Leete pretty darn speechless. (And yet, they keep talking about it. Huh.)
In this episode, Kristen and Leete tune in as Sam leaps into 1965 (and a whole lot of mafia drama). He also gets to show off his excellent singing skills.
A bizarre competition on a farm. A very tense game of poker. A delightful pig named Piggy. Kristen and Leete go on a journey with Sam and Al to Texas in the 50’s.
Romeo and Juliet. Lancelot and Guinevere. Bakula and Hatcher. Romance is in the air on this episode of Quantum Leap, and Leete and Kristen are having none of it. Listen to this podcast when the moon crests over Camelot, and - oh, just forget it.
Can Sam fly that plane and save the day? Will Tim Fox hit a home run? Is Mikey a ghost? Leete and Kristen find the answers to all this and more as they watch the second part of the Quantum Leap Pilot.
Kristen and Leete “fly” in to Quantum Leap by watching the first half of the “pilot” episode: Genesis, Part 1. In case you haven’t noticed, this episode is about an airplane pilot. Get it? “Fly”? “Pilot”?
Leete and Kristen have a quick chat before sitting down to watch the pilot episode of Quantum Leap. What lies in store for these two dorks? Stay tuned for the podcast’s launch on Friday, January 4th, 2019, to find out!
